STEAK & MALBEC EVENING CRUISE ON THE RIVER THAMES - September 10th 2009
A successful night aboard the 'Pride of London' boat raised a substantial amount towards the 3rd free dental clinic - Sonrisa III. Once again, Todos Juntos Children's Trust were generously supported by the Gaucho Group who donated all the delicious steak sandwiches and Malbec wine for the evening. 188 people enjoyed the delights of London by night culminating with the opening of Tower Bridge as we sailed underneath. A Latin American band kept people dancing and much fun was had by all. Guest included: The Argentinian Chargé d'Affaires, Osvaldo Marsico, Carolina Perez-Coleman, the Embassy First Secretary and the raffle prizes were handed out by our good supporter Ossie Ardiles.


ARGENTINIAN TANGO EVENING
Thanks to the GAUCHO GROUP of RESTAURANTS, who hosted this
event in their flagship restaurant GAUCHO PICCADILLY, the evening was
immensely enjoyable and successful.

One hundred and thirty guests enjoyed an evening of excellent food,
good wine and dancing to a South American band. The atmosphere was
superb. His excellency the Argentinian Ambassador Mr.Frederic Mirré
also participated. Other celebrities included Ossie Ardilles the
Argentinian football hero who brought his family in support of the
event. There was a raffle of truly excellent prizes as well as an
auction of special items which attracted many bidders. The auction
items included a trip for two to New York, a Diamond Solitaire necklace
and tickets to watch ‘Take That’ in a private box.
Liverpool footballer JAVIER MASCHERANO was unable to attend. He
donated a signed Liverpool football and signed Todos Juntos T-shirts
for the auction.
SUMMARY: A great evening which raised £20,000 for our charity. This
money was applied to open our second free dental clinic - SONRISA II -
in the Hildalgo slums of Buenos Aires
