Who are we?

Todos Juntos is a non-profit organization providing free dental care to underprivileged children in the slums of Buenos Aires. Founded in 2005 and registered in both Argentina and the UK, Todos Juntos opened three dental clinics within the first four years.

Dental care is an often neglected part of international aid, but the value of a healthy smile (sonrisa) cannot be underestimated. Thousands of children in these “villas miserias” (misery towns) have never even seen a toothbrush. Consequently many ten year olds have rotten teeth – if they have teeth at all – leading to diminished employment opportunities, stigmatisation and self-esteem issues.

At our three Sonrisa clinics, children receive preventative education about dental hygiene, as well as free corrective treatment. All of the clinics are oversubscribed, with children walking for miles to be seen by the dentists.

The charity relies entirely on fundraising events and donations in order to keep these clinics up and running. In 2012 alone there were over 35,000 treatments received.

In addition to the clinics, Todos Juntos works tirelessly in the area supplying shoes, clothes and winter blankets, as well as organising Christmas parties for the children and their families.

Please click on our Just Giving site to make a donation. Just £10 can save a child's smile.

Each clinic costs £800 a month to run, so every penny helps. We are a grass roots charity and every penny goes directly to the clinics.

There are many ways for you to get involved with Todos Juntos. Apart from just donating, many people have raised money by a variety of methods - walks, cycle tours, marathons ...

We are also looking for corporate sponsors and companies willing to sponsor one of the clinics. Please contact us.

Our aim is to improve the daily living conditions of these underprivileged children by supplying free restorative dental care and hygiene, school supplies, food, clothing and shoes. The trust also supports a network of state-run soup kitchens with materials and equipment.
