ABOUT US

Todos Juntos was set up in Argentina in 2005 as the result of one woman’s concern for the thousands of disadvantaged children living in and around Buenos Aires. It is a non-profit organization with the principal aim of improving the daily living conditions of some of the most impoverished children living in the outskirts of the city. Fiona Watson (the founder) works tirelessly with three qualified dentists to raise funds for the ongoing costs of three dental clinics.

Our primary activity is to provide free dental care and oral hygiene education to children living in the slum areas of northern Buenos Aires. The first dental clinic, Sonrisa I, was opened in the San Martin district in 2006. Due to overwhelming demand, Todos Juntos opened Sonrisa II in 2007, closely followed by our third clinic - Sonrisa III - in 2009.

The costs for keeping these clinics open amount to £10,000 per annum, per clinic for the dentists and all the supplies. We are to date the only NGO offering such care to these children in Buenos Aires and our reputation has grown as children walk for miles around to visit the clinics if they are in need of dental care. In 2010, 1500 children visited the clinics and over 11,000 treatments were administered.

By 2012 this number had risen to 7,000 children treated and approximately 35,000 treatments - an increase of over 300% within two years.

Todos Juntos Children’s Trust was registered in the UK by the charity Commission in July 2006. We are honoured to have as our patron the World Cup-winning Argentine footballer Ossie Ardiles.

Todos Juntos needs continual financial support to keep the three clinics up and running as well as to assist our smaller projects. We are therefore constantly looking for sponsors and donors to contribute to this worthwhile, grassroots charity.
